About Women Build

Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program encourages and empowers women to make a difference by building homes and communities. Locally, Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County’s (Habitat CFC’s) Women Build is a coalition of Fairfield County women who are addressing our community’s critical shortage of affordable housing by volunteering their time to raise funds for and build Habitat homes.

Women Build is not about excluding men; it is about including women, so they can learn construction skills on a more inclusive construction site. Participants do not need to have construction skills to volunteer – Habitat staff and task leaders teach the skills needed to help build the home.

Our current goal for this event is to raise $50,000 for Habitat CFC’s 12th Women Build sponsored home. For more information on how you can participate in Habitat CFC’s Women Build, please contact Eileen Bakos at or call 203-333-2642x102.
